Where are Ford trucks made?

Ford trucks are among the most reliable vehicles on the road, and for good reason. So if you've been a Ford truck owner for quite some time, you might be wondering where exactly Ford trucks are made. So, where are Ford trucks made? Ford trucks are manufactured at multiple locations, and where they are built depends on the configuration.

These locations include Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Venezuela and Mexico. Let’s take a closer look at where Ford trucks are produced!

How to find out where your Ford truck was built

Although most Ford F-Series trucks are built in the United States, where your vehicle is built depends on the type of cab you choose for your Decatur adventure. It's actually easy to answer the question "Where are Ford trucks made?" To find out where your truck was built, be sure to check the vehicle identification number (VIN):

On your Ford truck, you can find the VIN number on the driver's side door frame of the truck.

When you look at the VIN, the 11th digit is where the truck was built.
If your VIN number shows an F in the 11th position, it means it was made in a Michigan factory, and if it has a K, it means it was made in a Missouri factory.

Has Ford ever built a truck outside the United States?

Ford prioritizes building trucks in the United States, so every truck in the F-Series is built in a Michigan or Missouri plant. There was a time when Canadian-market trucks were built in Canada, but were later moved to manufacturing plants in the United States.

What is Lorem Ipsum? Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum. Why do we use it? It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).
